18. WALKS

Walks are good moves to do when you are waiting in line or just standing around.

Beam Walk

The adult's arms give the young child something to hang onto as he or she walks back and forth on the adult's legs.

FOOT WALK

The child stands on the adult's feet and holds onto the adult's hands as the adult walks forwards or backwards. The child can face either in or out. the child feels as if he or she is walking without any effort at all.

HAND WALK

This move is the same as foot walk, except that the child is upside down.

WHEELBARROW

Wheelbarrow is fun work for both adult and child. If the child has trouble doing this play with the ankles being held, the adult can hold the child high on the thighs, as close as necdessary to the child's waist. This will reduce the weight which the child must support on his or her arms.
