16. SOMERSAULTS
The first somersault is a very proud moment for every child. Here are a few variations on the standard move.
SITTING SOMERSAULT
The adult clasps his or her hands and holds the arms in a circle at shoulder height. The child rolls over the adult's arms and lands on the adult's legs.
CIRCLE SOMERSAULT
The adult locks his or her hands together and holds the arms in a vertical circle, positioned just below the child's waist. The child holds onto the bottom of the ring and rolls forward over the adult's lower arms, passing through the circle.
PARALLEL BARS
The adults kneel facing each other and grasp opposite wrists so that their arms form parallel bars. The child hangs and somersaults on the adult's arms.
